
Most of our rentals properties do not allow pets, and this policy is strictly enforced. However, some properties will allow you to bring a dog. Please note that if you do book a Pet Friendly property, you will be required to read and sign our Pet Addendum. Please read our Policies & Procedures section for more details.
We highly recommend that you always purchase our Travel Insurance when you book your vacation property. This insurance covers you for both before and during your trip. Click here for details. Should you have to cancel and you don’t have insurance, you are liable for the full amount of the rental. We will make every effort to re-rent the property, and if we’re able to do so we will refund your payment, less a 25% cancellation fee. Please read our Policies & Procedures section for more details.
Unlike many other companies, we do not include the cost of cleaning in the rental rate. Instead, we charge a separate cleaning fee and we send our cleaners in after your stay in the rental. This ensures that the property is thoroughly sanitized for the next tenants. Please note that it is still your responsibility to leave the property completely picked-up and broom clean. Kindly remember that if the cleaners have to take time picking up after you, the next family coming into the property may be inconvenienced.
We maintain a strict policy of no check-ins before 3:00 PM. We realize you are eager to get your vacation started, but prior to your arrival our cleaning crews and other service personnel need to go into the property. Early check-ins create disruptions for our crews and staff, and can inconvenience other tenants trying to check in at 3:00 PM.
No. All guests are responsible for their own sheets & towels. If convenient, you can bring them with you from home, or you can rent them from one of several reputable linen rental companies on the Cape. The individual owner of your vacation rental will supply pillows and blankets for all beds.
All Ocean Edge Resort units, and many of our houses and cottages come with washers & dryers. However, not every property has a washer or dryer. Check the specific detailed listing for your rental. If in doubt, call us at 800-896-4606.
Whenever possible we’d be happy to send or receive your fax for you during regular business hours Monday-Friday. There are also many other places that can send your fax, including many public libraries.
Many of our properties do have internet connectivity, but be sure to check the property description for your specific rental. Virtually all libraries on the Cape offer high speed internet, as do many cafes and restaurants. Some towns, such as Orleans, also offer an abundance of Wi-Fi hotspots.
Yes! We offer comprehensive guest services through our Pampered Guest Program. We’d be happy to send you a price list and menu of services. We will make every attempt to accommodate you on short notice, but keep in mind that most of our suppliers require at least one week advance notice to fill your order.
Use of the resort swimming pools, tennis courts, golf course and other facilities and amenities will depend on what type of Resort Membership the owner of your particular condo has. All but a few of our rental units have pool and tennis privileges. Be sure to check the details for your particular rental unit. Ocean Edge Resort requires that we register all people in your party in order to issue individual passes for use of the Resort facilities. If the owner of the unit you’ve rented has the appropriate membership, you will be issued up to 8 passes. We represent the owner of your unit, but the Resort facilities are owned and managed by a separate company. We are not affiliated with that company. We, our owners, and you are required to observe their rules & regulations while using resort facilities. No. This summer (2007), only the back 9 holes of the golf course will be playable. The front 9 will still be under construction, although the heavy construction is scheduled to be completed by Memorial Day. Be sure to check with us for specifics on the construction. Also, keep in mind that you will only have access to the golf course if you are stayoing in a unit with an owner who has the Golf Membership. Some other Resort facilities are being renovated, but we don’t expect those activities to interfere with your enjoyment of the Resort.
A week or two before the start of your vacation you will be notified of your check-in location. You can find directions to our check-in offices on the Location/Directions page of this website. Check-in is between 3:00 and 5:00 PM on Saturday. If you are going to be later than 5:00 PM, or are not checking in on Saturday, please call us ahead of time at 800-896-4606. SPECIAL NOTE: Saturday check-ins will NOT take place at our East Orleans business office.
The old security deposits had a number of drawbacks, and sometimes even created conflicts between renters and property owners. Therefore, we no longer have individual security deposits for each property. Instead, we have instituted a $55 Security Assurance Fee (SAF) which will be charged with your rental. This is a nonrefundable mandatory fee, and protects you much the same way an insurance policy would. This plan protects you from damage expenses which result from an accident within the unit due to your inadvertent acts or omissions. The Security Assurance Fee(SAF) plan does not cover negligent or willful and wanton conduct.
